What comes after

BOOK REVIEW
What comes after  - Steve watkins

Do you you like the name Iris?
Have you ever milked a goat?
Have you ever been abused into a state of shock?
Have you ever met a boy called Littlebird?
Ever heard of piloerection?

Intigued yet?
Well i really hope you are because if so this book is for you.
Its about a teenage girl named Iris who tragically is pulled away from her loved ones to live a farm life with a Aunt and Cousin. Sound plan? Defintely not. Its a heartfelt book that will leave you sitting on the edge of your seat not wanting the book to end. To say the least i was hooked reading it, teared up 3 times, felt like i was the characters so it drew me in and it only took me the day to read it.

I would recommend it to anyone. Even fans of typical twilights and true bloods ( which i am also a BIG fan of ). At first i thought i might not like it because it seemed like a 'real life' read - a book that i feel is to plain to be drawn into because it doesnt have blood suckers and sparkly characters, but i couldnt have been more wrong.
10/10

All the good ones are taken

Okay... so believe it or not a a gained the courage to give someone my number today.

I don't know if it was this Vanity fair reese witherspoon go getter personality rubbing off on me or what.
I was wearing a 1950s inspired outfit wih black 1950s peddle pushers, a pink boobtub with bow at the front, black chocker and my hair down secured with black sunglasses....
Anyway.... im at the local shops which the mystery guy always works at and we always share 'stolen glances' at eachother and i thought 'you know what...  i accept that challenge' sooo i jotted my name and digits on a receipt and gave it to him...
It went like this:
me : " hi, this will sound silly but take this. Im ____ "
him :"  ok.....*smile* ... _____"
me: " Bye *smile*"
him: *smile*

So yes... very simple, but it was very cute! OR so i thought....

I got a text about 3 hours later, here it is:

Hey! Its ____. thx for your number you seem really nice. However :S ive recently got a new gf and i didnt know how to tell ou without making the whole situation akward haha so if  date is what u wanted i am sorry but i have to decline for said reason. still say hi when you come through im usually friendly. nice to meet you ___ ."

GOD DAMN CRAP GOD DAMN!

Alwell i replied with a nice little text back.
I can stil perve at him i guess but i'm not embaressed, angry or anything else except proud that i was confident enough to do it ( since i was a digit virgin ... until now ;) ). I was lucky he was kind and respectful and easy on the eyes so i dont feel so jilted!

Just goes to show manners can still exist and that more girls should take a chance because it may be worth it... whether for a date or a learning lesson.

Men of another era

Now im serious

Because this is heartbreaking...
they just dont make men how they used to...
but i can ALWAYS dream
ehehehehe!

The wig party

OBSESSION OF THE WEEK

Periodic Movies ( preferably victorian period )!!

Movies:
Marie Antoinette - Kirsten Dunst
Vanity Fair - Reese Witherspoon
The Duchess - Keira Knightly
Elizabeth - Cate Blanchett
The other boleyn girl - Scarlet & Natalie
also
Shakespear in love - Gweneth Paltrow
Queen Victoria - Emily Blunt

Hmm... yes yes... I lie! Its not a week obsession, its more of a obsession of a general form since i love periodic movies, its the courtship, drama, fashion, makeup, manners and men.
I was defintely born in the wrong era!
BUT never fret as you can always copy cat!
Pretty silks, ribbons, bows, lace and light pastel colours will always work whether in fashion or home decor. Curls and pretty tendrels in the hair will always be in style and can be pinned to look more 'classicly'. Night gowns and floral scented perfume will make you sleep like a 1900s goddess!

KEEP CALM and watch the movies!

Let them eat cake

"Let them eat cake"! - Marie Antoinette

Kirsten Dunst is the epidemy of Glamour in this modern adaption of Marie Antoinette's life.. or so it would seem. This movie has an element of drama, sadness, class and pastel colours.
The soundtrack is outhere with classic 80s hits revamped such as 'I want candy' to opera music. ITS A HIT!

Any female with a love of fashion, heels, sweet foods, high hair, makeup, pugs and feathers will ADORE this movie.

P.s I own the movie and the soundtrack <3

Stephanie Zinone

PINK LADIES PLEDGE
TO ACT COOL
TO LOOK COOL
AND TO BE COOL
TO DEATH DO US PART
THINK PINK

Yes, thats right. I am one of the 1/100000 people to absolutely, truly, heart and soul L.O.V.E love Grease 2... and more importantly the brilliant BLONDE Stephanie Zinone..
School student and petrol station clerk by day, by night a lean mean singing fashionable machine.

She's a fashionable greaser and leader of the Pink ladies, she has messy hair and rocks fierce red lipstick and an even fiercer attitude. She wears 'rock glam' imspired clothing and if seems like her favouite fashionable colours are red, black and purple.
